Things You'll Need:
- 12 inches of 18-gauge jewelry wire
- Bead (hole large enough for two lengths of wire to pass through)
- Round-nose pliers
- Wire cutters
- Ring mandrel
- Ruler
-
Step 1
Cut the wire off to the required 12-inch length.
-
Step 2
Place the center of the wire across the mandrel at the spot required for the size ring you will be making. Wrap the wires around the mandrel two times. Do not trim the tails.
-
Step 3
Use the pliers to bend the wire tails so that they extend out from the ring at 90-degree angles.
-
Step 4
Slide the bead onto both extended wires and push it down to the base of the wires at the ring.
-
Step 5
Separate the wires at the top of the bead and bring one down to the left of the bead and the other down to the right of the bead.
-
Step 6
Pull the wire tails down to the point under the bead where the wires originally were inserted up through the hole of the bead. Use the pliers to wrap both the left and right wire tails tightly around the base of these wires to secure them. Cut off any extending wire and push the ends down under the bead to finish the beaded ring.
