How to Use Vellum Quote Stacks

There are hundreds of quotes printed on the thick vellum sheets available in craft and scrapbooking supply stores. The quotes are made in small, affordable pads or stacks with many pages of expressive sayings. The pads are acid and lignin free, which makes them safe to be near or on photographs or scrapbook layouts. The vellum quote stacks are excellent for use on handmade greeting cards and other paper projects.

Things You'll Need

• Vellum adhesive
• Ribbon
• Decorative brads
• Eyelets
• Shaped paper punch tools
• Card stock
• Paper
• Ink markers

Instructions

1. 

   Cut the quote you want to use from the page in the stack. You can cut with straight or decorative edging.

2. 

   Adhere the vellum to a card or scrapbook layout. Glue or stitch a piece of decorative ribbon across the top of the quote.

3. 

   Punch a hole in the corner of the quote. Punch a hole in the card or paper where you want to place the quote. Place a paper-punched flower, silk flower or other punchie shape over the hole and push a decorative brad down through layers. Open the brad ends to secure the quote to the project.

4. Adhere tiny punchie shapes directly to the card or paper project you are making. Place double-sided vellum glue dots to the quote and place it over the punched paper shapes to give a dimensional appearance. For example, place tiny baby bottle and rattle punchies under a vellum quote for a baby announcement card.

5. Adhere a vellum quote on to a cardstock tag for a project embellishment. You can also use eyelets to attach a quote to your paper project.

6. Use ink markers to color the edge of the vellum paper around the quote.

7. Cut out several quotes and adhere them on to a scrapbook layout. You can also mount several quotes to small pieces of cardstock. Place the quotes in to a pocket or file on a scrapbook page.

• Remove the individual page from the stack before cutting out the quote you prefer to use.
