Things You'll Need:
- Wax treatment system
- Wax warmer
- Wooden applicator
- Muslin strips
- Tweezers
- Aloe vera lotion
-
Step 1
Purchase a facial wax treatment system. Because crème wax is gentle, it is recommended for facial hair removal, instead of honey wax treatments.
-
Step 2
Warm the wax in a wax pot or wax warmer. Some waxes can be warmed in the microwave. Read specific product instructions to verify whether or not your wax is microwavable.
-
Step 3
To prevent burns, test the temperature of your wax before applying it to your face.
-
Step 4
Apply the wax to the area with unwanted facial hair. Apply the wax in the direction of hair growth, using a small wooden applicator.
-
Step 5
Press the muslin strip on top of the wax. Apply the strip in the direction of hair growth. Leave a small piece of the strip loose at the end.
-
Step 6
Grab the loose end of the strip, and rip it off, using a side-to-side motion.
-
Step 7
Use tweezers to remove any remaining hairs. Do not apply more wax to remove the remaining hairs, as this can cause severe irritation to your skin.
-
Step 8
Apply an aloe vera-based lotion to the area that was waxed to soothe the skin and prevent skin irritation.
-
Step 1
Contact a laser removal specialist to talk to him about laser removal of your facial hair. See Resources to locate a specialist in your area.
-
Step 2
Decide if you have enough funds to complete your laser treatment sessions. Cost of laser treatment for facial hair will vary, depending upon your location. The average price ranges from $250 to $650 per session for full facial removal, which will typically take several sessions.
-
Step 3
Attend your laser treatment sessions, as scheduled by your laser practitioner. After a laser treatment you may experience redness, swelling and itching in the treated area. These symptoms should pass within a few days.
