How to Read PDF eBooks

PDF eBooks are books that have been uploaded to the Internet in order to be read online. These books are in the PDF format, which is a format that can be read with the use of the free program Adobe Reader.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Adobe Reader
  1. Step 1

    Download and install Adobe Reader. PCs generally have this program already, but if not, you can easily download it (see Resources).

  2. Step 2

    Locate an eBook. There are free websites, like Planet PDF, and there are eBook stores, like eBook Mall (see Resources). Look through the different options to find the eBook you're searching for.

  3. Step 3

    Download the eBook. After locating and buying your eBook, download it so that you can access it anytime you want. The site that sells the eBook will have specific instructions on how to download one of its eBooks.

  4. Step 4

    Open the eBook. Double-click on the eBook that you've downloaded. Adobe Reader will automatically load the eBook so you can begin reading.
