How to Manually Remove Cookies From a Computer
Cookies are strings of text that store information. As you surf through the Web, cookies collect settings and preferences, and keep them in your computer. Cookies are a little controversial as some people are not aware cookies are being collected. As such, the question of privacy on the Internet arises. You can remove cookies from your computer easily and manually instead of relying on your browser to do it for you.

Clearing cookies in Firefox

Navigate to "Tools," then "Clear Private Data."

Make sure the "Cookies" box is selected in the "Clear Private Data" window.

Hit the "Clear Private Data" button. Your cookies should now be deleted.
Clearing Cookies in Internet Explorer

Navigate to "Tools," then "Internet Options" from your Internet Explorer menu bar.

Choose the "Delete Cookies" option from the "Internet Options" menu, under the "Temporary Internet Files" box.

Hit "OK" to clear the cookies.
Clearing Cookies in Safari

Select "Preferences" from the Safari menu.

Click the "Security" button from the top toolbar.

Select "Show Cookies."
