Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • To make 2 servings:
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 big lime
  • 1 cup of prawns (can be substitued with any meat of your choice)
  • 1 cup of button mushrooms
  • 1 lemongrass
  • 2 Kafir lime leaves
  • 2 Tblespoon of fish sauce
  • 2 chili peppers
  • Cilantro for sprinkle
  • 1 Tblespoon of Chili paste soya ben oil (optional)
  1. Step 1

    Boiling water in a pot. Cut lemongrass into pieces about 3 inches long and pound them to release the flavor. Drop them in the pot and let boil for 3 minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Remove Kafir lime leaves from the stems and add to the pot. Halve each button mushroom, each chili peppers and add to the pot. Add shrimps (peeled and deveined) and turn off the heat quickly once the shrimps turn pink-red.

  3. Step 3

    Pour the soup and shrimps into a bowl, quickly add fish sauce and lime juice. Chili paste is optional if you want to add for more tasty - it'll give a little bit of sweetness into a soup. Sprinkle cilantro on top and serve. Add more lime juice or fish sauce if it tastes bland.

    YUM!!!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make this soup when you feel sick, but don't add too much of chili peppers if you have stomach problem!
