Family style chicken fajitas will bring your family together as you talk while making your own fajita. This is a great way to share a meal.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 chicken breast
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 cup pico di gallo
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups fajita sauce
  • 6 small white tortillas
  1. Step 1

The first step when making family style chicken fajitas is to marinate the chicken in your fajita sauce. You can find a good fajita sauce and marinade in the store next to barbecue sauce and other marinades. Marinade the chicken breast in the refrigerator in 1 and a 1/2 cups fajita sauce.

  2. Step 2

Now cut the onion, red bell pepper and green bell pepper into thin slices. After the chicken has marinaded cut it into strips.

  3. Step 3

In a large saute pan heat a small amount of oil and add the chicken. In a separate pan heat some more oil and add the onion, and bell pepper. You will want to cook the chicken for 8-10 minutes and make sure to check if it is done. The vegetables will only need to cook for a few minutes until the onion starts to get translucent.

  4. Step 4

Add the vegetables to the chicken and add the remaining 1/2 cup of sauce. You do not need a lot of sauce as chicken fajitas are not meant to have a lot of sauce.

  5. Step 5

Now place the rest of the ingredients in a serving dishes and place them in the center of the table. Heat your tortillas and put them between two paper towels.

  6. Step 6

Now to you can sit down to your chicken fajitas as a family and build them how you would like.
