People who snore often don't realize the effect it can have on others. This article will give some tips on how to cut back on the snoring and start making the people around you more cheerful!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A little motivation!
  • Nasal strips
  • Hot water
  1. Step 1

Exercise. Obesity, especially around your neck can cause your airway to partially collapse which results in snoring.

  2. Step 2

Change the way you sleep. Try sleeping on your side instead of your back and see what kind of results you get.

  3. Step 3

Cut back on Alcohol. Alcohol supresses your bodies breathing desire, resulting in snoring.

  4. Step 4

Use Nasal Strips. These will open up your nose wider making it easier to breathe.

  5. Step 5

Steam Inhalation. This will cause your nasal area to become less congested which will lead to better breathing.

  6. Step 6

Elevate you head. By propping up your head on a pillow it will allow you to breathe easier and snore less. Although, make sure you are comfortable so you don't wake up with a sore neck.

Tips & Warnings
  • This is a gradual process, but it will make those around you much happier!

on 6/10/2009 The picture showing the pot of water on the stove steaming gives the unsuspecting the message of leaving their stove on while they sleep. Using a humidifier would be a safer option.
