Working out is great to keep the body in tip top shape and to reduce stress. But with busy lives it can be difficult to find time to work out. By using simple techniques you can fit in a daily workout.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make it a habit to exercise 5 minutes out of every working hour. If you work 9 hours a day and exercise for 5 you will have fit in a 45 minute workout. Get up from your desk each hour and march around, lift light weights or do some simple toning exercises.

  2. Step 2

Simplify a chore that you do daily to save time so you will have extra minutes to exercise. Use paper plates so you don't have to wash dishes, get your family involved in household chores to free you up or become more efficient at other tasks.

  3. Step 3

Plan a simple exercise routine and memorize it, so you don't have to spend time deciding what exercises to do. Having a set routine is a great way to fit in a daily workout (see resources for a 12 minute routine).

  4. Step 4

Be creative thinking of ways to fit in a daily workout. Instead of going out to a restaurant, pack a meal and go to the park where you can get fit in exercise before you eat. Instead of watching TV, grab your camcorder and go outside for a walk and film your own movie as you stroll.

  5. Step 5

Stay consistent. Think of ways you can fit in minutes of time to exercise on a daily basis. These minutes add up to help you stay fit and healthy.
