The latest fitness and exercise craze has to do with boot camps; a workout in a group setting where the instructor pushes your fitness limits. These boot camps are a great addition to any weight loss effort because they force you to work out much harder than you would on your own. Here are some ways to get the most weight loss out of your boot camp training sessions.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Show up. That's right, just signing up for a boot camp class will not make you thinner or more fit. For the best boot camp results, don't miss a class! Hold yourself accountable.

  2. Step 2

Push yourself. Boot camp classes are meant to make you sweat, and your muscles should be sore the day after a workout. Boot camp instructors make the workouts difficult but that physical challenge is what you need in order to get fit. Find your comfort level in exercise; and then push a little past it.

  3. Step 3

Eat healthily. Boot camp classes usually last an hour and burn a lot of calories; don't undo the progress by going home and eating a pizza and a bag of chips. Stick to a healthy diet while you are in a boot camp class and the fat will fall off faster.

  4. Step 4

Drink lots of water. Hydration is key while you are putting yourself through a tough workout, and it can also serve as an aide in weight loss.

  5. Step 5

Always see a doctor before starting a boot camp. This is recommended when starting any exercise routine, but especially with a boot camp workout. If you are going to be pushing your body as hard as you likely will in boot camp, it's a good idea to see a doctor first, just to make sure your body is healthy enough to be pushed.
