How to Use Freezer Paper
While many inventive people have found various craft uses for freezer paper, it's primarily intended to wrap and preserve foods, whether cooked or raw, that are to be frozen. Wrapping tightly to remove all the air inside and using a wrap specifically designed for freezing will keep foods from getting freezer burn and having to be tossed in the garbage. There are two sides to freezer wrap but only one side is meant to wrap around the food itself. Does this Spark an idea?

Seal Foods to Be Frozen in an Air-Tight Wrapped Package
-
1
Pull out freezer paper from the roll and use the cutting edge on the box to tear off a sheet that is about 2 inches longer than the food being wrapped. Lay this sheet smoothly on the table, shiny side up.
-
2
Take the food and place it in the center of the cut sheet. Use the extra length and width for folding. Grab two sides and hold them with their edges together. Keeping the edges even, start to fold the edges of the freezer paper down towards the food, creasing the ends as you approach the food itself.

3
Keep making narrow and tight creases until the freezer paper is taut and touches the food. This limits any air pockets from forming between the food and the wrap.
-
4
Take the wrapped package and turn it over. This time fold over each end of the food making small narrow folds. The folds should be made going towards the food, removing any air from under the paper. The package should be tightly wrapped in the center and on both ends. Tape each folded end as well as the center fold. Use a magic marker and write the date and contents of the wrapped food on the outside of the package. It is now ready to be placed into the freezer.
