How to Convert Windows Media to MPEG
Windows Media Video (WMV) is a compressed video file format that is used in streaming and downloading content on the Internet. You can playback videos in this format on Windows Media Player. MPEG files are a highly compressed digital format that many portable devices require for playback. To view your Windows Media files on these devices, you must convert the Windows Media file into MPEG format.

Download and install Advanced X Video Converter. Once installation has completed, launch the program.

Click the "Add Task" button in the main window. Click "All to MPEG-1/MPEG-2" in the task window. Click "Next."

Click the "Add File" button to add the Windows Media Video (WMV) files that you want to convert to MPEG format.

Select the location where you want the MPEG file to be saved. Click the "Edit Profile" button and choose an MPEG Output Format. Set the width, height, and frame rate of your output file. By default, the application reads this information from your source file so that you don't have to manually enter it.

Click the "Start" button to convert your WMV file into MPEG format.

Tips & Warnings
You can convert multiple WMV files at once by selecting the "Add Task" button in the main window for each file before clicking the "Start" button in Step 5.
