Instructions

    • 1

Cleanse hair with a moisturizing shampoo to remove any product build up; lather and repeat if needed. Rinse.

    • 2

Apply moisturizing conditioner throughout the length of hair and allow it to set for five to ten minutes before rinsing.

    • 3

Blot hair dry with a towel.

    • 4

Apply a dime size of anti-frizz serum to the palm of your hand (use more if you have long or thick hair) and work the serum from root to tips. Some quality anti-frizz serums are made by John Frieda, Paul Mitchell, Aveda and Redken.

    • 5

Apply a palm full of curl defining mousse throughout hair strands, working from the roots to the tip; a great curl defining mousse line is made by Pantene Pro V.

    • 6

Detangle hair using a brush, starting from the ends of hair and working to the roots. Turn blower dry with diffuser attachment onto medium setting; tilt head down and dry hair from the ends, working up to the roots, massaging the roots with the diffuser to increase hair's volume and body.

    • 7

Plug in a ¾-inch hot iron and a ½-hot iron; set the temperatures to the setting for your hair type--fine, medium or thick.

    • 8

Divide hair into four sections, using hair clips to keep the hair separated. Use the ¾-inch curling iron for top portion of the hair and the ½-inch curling iron for the back portion of hair; this creates a natural flow of the spiral curls and adds amazing volume.

    • 9

Take small portions of the divided hair and make a twirling motion in the form of an S; allow the hair to rest on the curling iron for a few seconds. Release the hair from the hot iron and allow the spiral curl to cool completely; avoid the urge to separate or touch the spiral. Repeat until you have completed entire head.

    • 10

Spray light hair spray throughout finished spirals with head tilted down. Gently shake head slowly, in a controlled motion from side to side to create a full, naturally curly look.

Tips & Warnings

  • Avoid using high heat, as this can cause split ends and breakage. Use an anti frizz serum to help eliminate frizzy hair.

  • Never leave hot irons plugged into the wall socket, to prevent burns. Always place electrical appliances in a child proof place.
