How to Review for a College Algebra Final Exam

Although it's time consuming, reviewing for a college algebra final exam is important to receiving a good grade not only on the test but also in the class. Studying the amount of material that is covered in an algebra class can be overwhelming unless you have a structured method to get through all of it.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Algebra book
  • Notebook
  • Pencil
  • Calculator
  1. Step 1

    Look over the study guide, if you were given one.

  2. Step 2

    Read through each chapter that will be covered on the exam while filling out the study guide.

  3. Step 3

    Write down all of the formulas from each chapter. Putting them down onto one sheet will make finding and using them easier.

  4. Step 4

    Work through the practice problems at the end of each chapter that will be covered on the test. Use the formula sheet that was created in Step 2.

  5. Step 5

    Review the previous tests and quizzes that were taken in the course.
