How to Build a large potato cannon(spud gun)

How to make a Potato, Orange, lemon cannon. What ever you want to call it. This is quiet a large cannon. And it is very DANGEROUS.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 meter of 80mm PVC
  • 80mm to 120mm PVC adapter
  • 120mm to 150mm PVC adapter
  • 15cm of 150mm PVC
  • Screw cap adapter and cap
  • BBQ sparker(piezo)
  • PVC primer
  • PVC Cement
  1. Step 1

    Place all PVC pipes in a line. Now put primer on all pieces that are joining pieces like so(pieces are higlighted).

  2. Step 2

    Let the primer dry for about 5 minutes. Now you are ready to put the PVC cement on. This part is of building a cannon is the most important. If the joints are not perfect the cannon will become a lot more dangerous. Place cement on areas that have primer on them. And put pieces together.

  3. Step 3

    Now that the cannon is complete you must let it dry for 24 hours before puting the BBQ sparker(piezo) in it.

  4. Step 4

    Drill hole in PVC Screw cap to fit BBQ(piezo) like so. If you a Thunb tac next to the piezo it will spark. Tape the tac to the BBQ sparker.

  5. Step 5

    NOW YOU ARE READY TO FIRE!!
