Make your any graduation party a hit with fun, personalized decorations.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pictures of the graduate.
  • Personal keepsakes.
  • Knowledge of graduates future goals/direction.
  • Basic graduation decor in school colors.
  1. Step 1

Who says school is only for the graduate? Gather info about the recent grad. Find out their favorite hangout. Get pictures of the new grad with their friends. Find out where their next step will be taking them. The better you know the grad, the easier it is to decorate for the grad.

  2. Step 2

Select a theme. If the grad is an avid traveler, use artifacts or photos from places they've traveled. If they were the head cheerleader, place pompoms in the school colors on each table. Make it all about the graduate and their accomplishments or passions.

  3. Step 3

Make it unique. Everyone will remember celebrating Mark's graduation when his achievements are proudly displayed for all to see instead of the entire Tigers Class of 2009! Graduation is a major milestone in young peoples lives and they want to be proud of their past accomplishments and excited to move on to the next chapter in their lives. Individual recognition can boost anyone's confidence.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep decorations budget friendly buy purchasing basic items (i.e. plates, silverware, napkins) at a discount store in solid colors representing the school. Accents can be added with a personal touch and won't drown out the decorations.
  • Consider the weather and display are when using personal artifacts and photos for decorating. The grad wants to celebrate their achievements, not be distracted with babysitting memorabilia.
  • Make up a cheap party favor for guests to take with them to remember the occasion. Many craft and discount stores sell kits or small bags and boxes that can be quickly assembled into a memorable keepsake.
