How to Apply Eye Shadow for Asians Step by Step thumbnail
Asians can enhance their eyes with the proper eye makeup.

Asian eyes are typically small, almond-shaped and brown. Of course, this doesn't apply to all Asians, but the majority have variations of these characteristics. For instance, some have less hooded eyes while others have rounder eyes. The makeup applied on Asian eyes is different from that applied on Caucasian eyes due to the difference in eye shape. Applying eye makeup on Asians often involves using eye shadow, eye liner and mascara to enhance the eye crease and make the eyes look bigger. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Wash your face. Take off any previous makeup with a makeup remover and cotton ball.

    • 2

Cover your large fluff brush with cream-colored eye shadow. Move the brush in long strokes under your eyebrow to highlight the area.

    • 3

Cover the medium eye shadow brush with dull brown eye shadow. Coat the eye lid with the dull brown hue by moving the brush in long strokes from the inner eye to the edge. When bringing the brush back from the edge, curve the line to create a smoky look.

    • 4

Cover the small eye shadow brush with deep purple eye shadow. Define the crease of the eye by using the brush to form a "V" shape at the edge of the eye. Continue dragging the color inward and merging it with the cream color. Do this for half the eye lid, but define the whole crease of the eye lid.

    • 5

Apply eyeliner on the eye lid in one fluid stroke. Extend it beyond the eye just a little bit to give it an elongated shape.

    • 6

Curl the top eyelashes with an eyelash curler. Apply mascara to the bottom and top eyelashes.
