How to Prevent Razor Burn on Legs
Razor burn or razor bumps are a nasty side effect of shaving, either with a manual or electric shaver. They're uncomfortable, unsightly and, all-in-all, not anything anyone wants on her legs. Razor burn is tough to get rid of after the fact. It is much easier to solve the problem by preventing it in the first place. Does this Spark an idea?

Prep the skin for shaving. Wash and exfoliate the legs with a shower puff to remove dirt and dead skin for a smoother shave.

Soften the hair to avoid razor bumps. Apply lotion or conditioner to the area to be shaved, but for only a couple minutes so the skin doesn't absorb the moisture.

Apply shaving cream or soap using a badger brush. This is stands up the hair, making it easier to shave off.

Start to shave, using short, slow glides with the razor. Don't press too hard against the skin as this increases the likelihood of razor burn.

Splash cold water on your legs after shaving, to close the pores.

Smooth aloe lotion over your legs to soothe, calm and moisturize the skin. This is one of the best things you can do to prevent razor burn.

Tips & Warnings
Use a clean, sharp blade to avoid razor burn and have a great shave.
Wash out the blades between each stroke. Removing the hair allows the blade to be even with the skin.
