Things You'll Need:
- tube socks
- scissors
- decorative yarn
- elastic (optional)
-
Step 1
Buy a tube sock or you can use an old one. Make sure that the sock is of a larger diameter than your leg at its widest.
-
Step 2
Cut off the toe of the sock. Save as much of the sock as you can. On some tube socks, you can even open up the toe seam and use the entire sock.
-
Step 3
Finish edges by wrapping the edges under and creating a hem. Sew with a similar color thread as the sock to hide the stitches, unless you want to use the thread color as an accent. If you have a serger, you can serge the ends using decorative thread.
-
Step 4
Add elastic to the top if you wish.Sew it inside the hem pocket.
-
Step 5
Finish edges with decorative yarn or other embellishment. Again, if you have a serger this is a great way to add decorative yarns or ribbons.
-
Step 6
Slip on and enjoy!
