First you need to get your products together for daily use. I find that everything you buy will be based on your budget. I chose my products based on a modest budget. For instance I happen to enjoy the Olive Oil products-Olive Oil Root Stimulator it keeps the hair moisturized and shiny. The Organic-Africa's Best Cholesterol Tea Tree Oil conditioner and leave in conditioner makes the hair feel soft and look shiny.

Make sure to find a good shampoo. A thick shampoo that smoothes down the cuticles is preferred for natural hair. It's actually a must if you don't want to look like a frizzy chicken. Also drying hair all the way through is important especially before flat ironing. You should find a cleansing shampoo to clear of pollution and debris.

Condition at least once a wk. The Cholesterol Tea Tree Oil conditioner I've found is better than the Organic-Hair Mayonnaise. They are both very good products though. Six in one oil is what I use for hot oil treatment. Boil water, then set the bottle of oil in the water for a few seconds so that you don't burn scalp. Then cover your hair with a shower cap. Then rinse and blow dry or towel dry.

It is very important to keep hair moisturized because when your hair is natural it's more difficult to reach the scalp. You have to moisturize enough to saturate the scalp with the essential oils to stay healthy.
