How to Clean a Fabric Purse
A woman's purse can hold a wide variety of items. Credit cards, makeup, oversized wallets and bags of snacks for the little ones all find a way to co-exist in cramped quarters to be readily available when needed. This is just a small glimpse into what a purse might hold. Cleaning a cloth purse is important to ensure that it will look good and stay in good shape for years to come. Does this Spark an idea?

Empty out the purse completely and use the brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner to clean out any residual crumbs and dirt.

Mix 1 quart of warm water with 1 tbsp. of dish soap.

Dip a soft, clean cloth into the warm soapy water and squeeze out any excess water.

Scrub the purse gently using small circular motions, paying particularly close attention to any areas that may be stained. Be sure to scrub the purse inside and out.

Dip a soft, clean cloth in clean water, wring it out and wipe down the inside and the outside of the purse to "rinse" it.

Set the purse in a cool, dry place until it is completely dry. You can use a hair dryer to speed the process along.

Tips & Warnings
Some purses can be put in the washing machine--but not all purses--so be sure to read the care instructions on the label before putting yours in the machine.
