The field marked "GPS Data Source" should read "device GPS." GPS Services should read "Location ON" and "Location Aiding" should be enabled. Save your settings before exiting.

Subscribe to Verizon's GPS service. This can be activated for a charge through your cell phone provider. To reach a customer service agent and add GPS services, dial *611 from your BlackBerry storm. Run VZ Navigator by pressing the BlackBerry menu button and selecting the VZ Navigator icon. If you successfully subscribed to the service and enabled GPS, the application should begin loading. You can customize the services offered by this application by entering the menu options.

Select the service you would like to use. Your choices will be navigation, local search, my places and maps. Within each service you will be automatically prompted to continue by the program as you keep selecting the option you desire to use. If you know the details of what you are looking for, access the navigation menu and provide the information required, such as your address or the location you are searching for, and allow the VZ navigation software to guide you. If you aren't sure of where a particular type of location is within your area, try searching for it by category within the local search menu.

5
For easy access you can access your recent searches and saved locations; this will save you time and make the program more convenient. Enter the menu marked "my places" to see where you have recently asked VZ Navigation to take you to access the results again or repeat the search. Or, to see a map of where you are and select a location visually, select the menu option "maps."
