How to Use a Rewritable DVD
A rewritable DVD (often abbreviated as DVD-RW) is reusable. You can burn data on the disc and then have the option to erase or clear the data before burning the disc again. Although more expensive than their one-time burning DVD-R disc counterpart, DVD-RWs allow the user to conserve discs by continuously recording over their media. There is no limit to how many times you can erase and record over a DVD-RW.

Tips & Warnings
Once you erase a disc, the media is lost and unable to be recovered. Compared to Quick Erase, Full Erase is slower but more thorough.
