Open the Firefox "Options" menu. Click on the "Tools" tab in the Mozilla Firefox navigation menu at the top of the Web browser's screen. Select the "Options" tab in the Tools drop down menu.

Configure the Privacy settings. Click on the "Privacy" icon that will appear at the top of the pop-up window. (The icon will display an image of a lock and a red circle.) Check the box that reads, "Ask Me Before Clearing Private Data," and click on the "Clear Now" action.

Choose the browsing items you would like to delete from your Web browser. When the "Clear Private Data" window opens, check the boxes that read, "Browsing History," "Download History," "Save Form and Search History," "Cache," and "Authenticated Sessions" and then click on the "Clear Private Data Now" option.

Close your Firefox browser and reopen it to allow your browser to refresh and configure to the newly applied actions.

Tips & Warnings
Private data is information entered in data forms. If you would like to maintain this information and these URL addresses, opt to view your history first and mark these Website URLs as private before deleting your URL history. Uncheck the Delete Private Data box before deleting the history.
Be sure you want to delete all URLs before actually deleting the history. Once your URL history is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
