Step 1
Make a goal to find one new interesting "thing" on campus each day. This could mean finally scouting out the science center your school always brags about, looking for that popular restaurant, finding the campus theatre, or just scouting out a new place to study. Now run there.
-
Step 2
Join an intramural. They're fun sports teams that aren't as tough and competitive as the pro athletes (usually!). Nervous that you couldn't make it onto the team if you tried? They're usually pretty lenient and kind about members. Still not convinced? Start up your own little team. Get a few dormmates to play soccer with you.
-
Step 3
Explore the campus as you go.Make a scavenger hunt. Your RA will probably be willing to help out, as he or she knows the area and wants students to bond more. If you all race to find the items first, you should be getting plenty of exercise.
-
Step 4
Check out the rec center or gym. Membership is usually included in tuition if it's on your campus. Look the benefits: you can check out cuties while you exercise, look tough doing weights without your parents around, and you're probably close enough to your dorm to run back when you embarrass yourself by splitting your shorts on a squat. (Look - more exercise!)
-
Step 5
Try out something new. Come on, college is about learning new things! Are you afraid to admit you don't really know what rowing is? Well, go check it out! Figure out what's so popular about basketball, and discover the rules to indoor soccer in your dorm. (Just don't let anyone find out about that last one.)
-
Step 6
Study more. It may sound odd, but when you've sat over your chemistry notes for five hours trying to remember how many electrons are in Atmospherium, you'll want to get up, stretch your legs, and go on a long walk.
