Many people dread summer because they have to keep their flabby arms under cover. It seems like everywhere you look there is someone with nicely toned, sculpted, chiseled arms waving happily while wearing a brightly colored short-sleeve or no sleeves shirt. Instead of keeping your arms hidden under long-sleeve tops, start focusing on these made-for-arms workouts. Soon you'll be one of the envied people with beautiful arms.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

One of the best ways to get good arm workouts is to take up canoing or kayaking. Paddling along the shore of the ocean or on a river is one of the best arm workouts.

  2. Step 2

Use exercises at the gym that involve moving handles. If you workout on a machine that does not have handles, make sure to move your arms by bending them back and forth at the elbow as you workout.

  3. Step 3

Try swimming a few days a week for the best arm workouts. Swimming provides resistance for toning as you use your arms to move forward in the water.

  4. Step 4

Sign-up for a kickboxing class. Jabbing and throwing punches is a great way to get your arms in shape.

  5. Step 5

Work arms out with weights at the gym or light weights at home three to four times a week. Building muscle is an excellent way to firm up flabby arms.

  6. Step 6

Make sure to do 30 minute total body cardio workouts five times a week to tone arms.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure to check with your doctor before starting and workout routines.
