Our pets are part of our families, so it is important to keep them safe. Felines in the home and also outdoor cats, have dangers that we should be aware of and keep them safe. My knowledge of dangers for cats is shared here.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Knowing the dangers for cats could save your cats life. Commonly known products are not widely known to be fatal to cats.
Even a little bid of antifreeze ingested can cause a cat to convulse and die. Make sure your cat has no access to this product and has clean, fresh water daily.

  2. Step 2

Tylenol is a wonder drug that is widely used by young children and adults. Kittens or full grown cats cannot matabolize this Acetaminophen and die from any dose of this product or its counter parts as well. The danger for cats is that they lack the enzymes to metabolize Acetaminophen. Any suspicion that this has been taken, a veterinarian must be attending to this cats needs immediately. Tell the doctor how much they had and when if possible.

  3. Step 3

Rogaine is another danger for cats. If it is spilled or applied on a cat, it can be fatal.

  4. Step 4

Some household cleaning products like Pine-sol,lysol or hexachlorophene ingredients in a cleaner have been known to be dangerous if used around cats. Since cats have claws, some small amount of fluid from clean up could then be transferred to the mouth when they wash themselves.

  5. Step 5

Essential oils, specifically tea tree oil are toxic to cats. Serious illness has been linked to the use of these essential oils in flea treatments or shampoos.

  6. Step 6

Chocolate is dangerous to felines causing theibromine poisoning. Even ingesting large amounts of onions or garlic can cause toxicity.
