Peptic ulcers are caused from too much damp heat in the stomach.
Over indulging in alcohol, aspirins, ibuprofen, and stress.
Here are some smart tips to relieve your ulcer and restore you to health. Over 25 million people have ulcers. Taking antacids, or prescription drugs only treat the symptoms they do not cause the problem to go away.

Instructions
  1. Step 1
     

    Take herbs to heat and cool. Gold thread for heat, and slippery elm and marshmallow root to cool. Take 1 1/4 t. a day of marshmallow root, and slippery elm, drink as a tea 5 times a day. Take 30 grams a day of golden thread.
    Find out why you have stress in your life and try to relieve the stress.
    Eat oatmeal for breakfast because it has emollient properties.

  2. Step 2
     

    Avoid smoking.
    Meditate.
    Do 30 minutes of yoga 3 times per week.
    Lower your consumption of coffee and alcohol.

  3. Step 3
     

    Eat 5 - servings of fresh vegetables and fruits.

    Get your body in balance. Regenerate with whole food herbs.

    Get your body full of alkaline foods.

on 6/8/2009 Based on evidenced-based nursing...stress should be eliminated or at least kept to a minimum for the ulcer to heal.Meditation is also useful.
