Do a Beach Party Theme Centerpiece

A beach party theme is a fun idea for a summer party. It’s hot in the summer so why not give in to it and enjoy it with a beach party. Decorating for your theme can be fun. One of the main ways to highlight your party theme is the centerpiece. Use a palm tree ice cooler to hold the drinks for the party. It makes a great centerpiece and your guests will be in a tropical mood as soon as they see it. It will also be serving a purpose by holding the drinks for the party.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

large table
inflatable palm tree
large metal garden trough or other large container
ice
table cloth
shells

Step 1

Select a table for your refreshments that is generous enough to incorporate a large centerpiece. You might even consider placing this centerpiece on its own table.
Step 2

Cover the table with the table cloth. When selecting your cloth do not be restricted to table cloths, you might find a shower curtain that is perfect for your beach theme to use instead. Try layering different things for an interesting look.
Step 3

Inflate the palm tree according to the instructions that came with it.
Step 4

Place the metal trough container on the table.
Step 5

Place the inflated palm tree into the metal container.
Step 6

Fill the container with ice and the drinks for the beach party.
Step 7

Scatter the shells over the rest of the table and around the food containers if food is also being served from this table.

Tips & Warnings

There are one piece inflatable palm tree coolers in the market from several different makers. Putting together your own lets you control the size of the cooler and how many drinks you can cool at once.
The metal container can be anything as long as it is water tight. I have used animal troughs as well as ones sold as planters in the gardening department. Look around for something interesting to use for your beach theme party.
