Step 1
Look in the newspaper's Variety section. Although their riddles will vary in degree of difficulty, they usually will have different types of brain teasers, puzzles, and mazes that will test your brain power. Depending on the newspaper, you will usually be provided with the solutions on the same or next day. The best part is, they are free of charge so you won't have to pay a dime to solve any very hard riddles.
-
Step 2
Search the web. Although this tip sounds obvious, it is good to know some websites that offer very hard riddles for free that can be completed at any time of the day. The best websites to find very hard riddles are: MeanRiddles.com, Riddles.com and IncreaseBrainPower.com. These websites are absolutely free and will provide you with plenty of brainteasers that will have you stumped.

Step 3
Locate your nearest bookstore. Try and look at places such as Half-Priced Books because you can find books and magazines that contain very hard riddles for next to nothing. Places such as Good Will are also useful. But this is only a last resort if you want to pay a few bucks for some brainteasers. Because of the resources you have immediately available to you, you should not have to even get this far.

Step 4
Take an IQ test if you like. IQ tests have different types of very hard riddles and brainteasers that will require your brain to think outside the box. IQ tests are also useful because they will provide you with an assessment of how you did at the end along with a score that indicates your results. You can then compare your results with other people and see how you compare!
