Eating less is hard to do when we're constantly being bombarded by the latest and greatest burgers, shakes, fries, potato skins, chips, dip, etc. But unless you can successfully only eat as much as your body needs on a daily basis, then you will be doomed to having weight problems. Stop letting food control your life; read and apply these steps to start experiencing a healthier you.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A Friend
  • A Journal
  • Some Determination
  1. Step 1

~Set Goals To Control Portion Sizes~

Set realistic goals that are attainable. This is very important. If you say to yourself that you're going to work out for 2 hours in the morning and skip breakfast to boot then you're likely going to fail. Make a plan and stick to it. Just keep it real ;)

  2. Step 2

    ~Involve A Close Friend Or Family Member~

Get a close friend or family member involved with your efforts. Talk to them about your goals and have them ask questions about your progress. Controlling and keeping your private eating habits in check is a very big key to be able to control portion sizes.

  3. Step 3

    ~Keep A Journal~

Log your eating habits in a dieting journal. This allows you to keep a good ongoing record of how you're doing. Based on this information it will become easier to set easily attainable weight loss goals.

  4. Step 4

    ~Celebrate Your Successes~

When you reach a goal or achieve any sort of weight loss success, you need to celebrate your victory. This is very important as it can keep you mentally and emotionally ticking. Staying on track is the hardest part of any self started endeavor to control portion sizes and lose weight.

Tips & Warnings
  • There are many types of weight loss software out there to help you succeed. Many are customizable with your own dieting plans, or you can use their dieting system.
