2. The first thing you need to do is locate the Court where your child support order was initially ordered from. Go to that Court or call and see what forms you will need to complete to request and increase in your child support order. Once you complete the correct forms return them to the court and you will be given a court date. The next thing you need to do is serve the other party a copy of the paper work and notify them of the Court date. Service is important and it must be done correctly. Therefore you will always need to know the address of the other party or have a means to get it.

3. Have an idea of the amount you will now be requesting and be realistic. Sometimes parties can solve these matters on their own without court and have their new agreed upon amount entered as an order.
