Sirius Satellite Radio is a prepaid satellite radio service that operates in the United States and Canada. Sirius boasts over a hundred channels of commercial-free and uncensored music and talk radio, featuring noted shock jock Howard Stern.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide where you are most likely to listen to satellite radio. Whether it be at work, in the car, or on the go, where you listen to satellite radio will decide what kind of radio you get.

  2. Step 2

Pick a radio. The Sirius website (see Resources) has a list of authorized dealers that sell cars with Sirius pre-installed. If you choose a home or portable radio, visit outlets such as Wal-Mart and Best Buy for the radio that fits your style.

  3. Step 3

Choose a programming package at sirius.com. There are music-only, talk-only and family packages for the niche listeners. Of course, you can go with the "Sirius Everything" packages if you fancy music and talk.

  4. Step 4

Pay for the service. A satellite radio without service is simply a pretty box.
