Things You'll Need:
- A computer
-
Step 1
>>>First Things First<<<
If you think you know where the product manual is at home...Find it. Not every product has a manual available online so finding it at home is your best bet. I suggest that you keep a file folder for all of your product manuals. That way they will always be there when you need them. -
Step 2
>>>Try the Manufacturer's Website<<<
The best bet is to try the manufacturer's website first. They are likely to have manuals stored or at the minimum have instructions for what you need to do. They probably have a customer service or product support link so try that first. Use their search tool if they have one. You can also try to actually call their support desk too. -
Step 3
>>>Google to the Rescue<<<
I have extremely good luck finding product manuals on Google. One technique I use is to run a regular search for the manual. If you are searching for a manual for your microwave [for example] then get the model number from of the microwave and search for GE GVX-1200 manual. Try the search with and without quotations around the term. -
Step 4
>>>Search Google by File Type<<<
My favorite search tool on Google is searching by file type. Most product manuals are going to be in Adobe PDF file format. Google allows you to limit the search results in a way that only shows you PDF files. When you run your search enter the search term this way: GE GVX-1200 manual filetype:PDF
With these techniques you should be able to find most product manuals online. Good Luck!
