Everyone suffers from dry skin at some point. For some, dry skin (xerosis) is a constant condition. Without proper treatment and care, dry skin can be very irritation. Follow these recommendation to help relieve dry skin.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lotion
  • Moisturizing soap or body wash
  • Sun block
  1. Step 1

    Take Luke warm showers and baths. Never take hot showers or baths because this strips the oil from your skin, causing it to be dry.

  2. Step 2

  3. Step 3

  4. Step 4

    Use a humidifier during the winter months to keep the air moist. This keeps dry skin at bay.

    Drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated which leads to better skin health and overall health.

  6. Step 6

    Always use sun block when going outside. Do not tan. Tanning by sun or artificial lamps over dries the skin. It also increases your risk for skin cancer.
