There are so many ways to damage your hair, heat styling, hair color, and even just going outside and exposing your hair to the sun and environmental pollutants. You can't undo damage that's already been done, but a good deep conditioning can make your hair look and feel much softer and healthier.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hair Cholesterol
  • Saran Wrap
  • Fresh towel from the dryer.
  • About an hour
  1. Step 1

Pick up a container of hair cholesterol. It comes in a small tub and can be found in the ethnic hair care section of most drug stores and even places like Walmart or Target. Hair cholesterol is very cheap and you should be able to get about 6 or 7 deep conditioning treatments out of one tub.

  2. Step 2

Toss a clean, dry towel into the dryer to heat it up.

  3. Step 3

You can either do this right after showering and shampooing your hair while it's still wet, or just wet your hair before applying. Make sure that all of your hair is wet and slather on the hair cholesterol. Work it through all of your hair, making sure everything's coated.

  4. Step 4

Pile your hair up on your head and wrap the saran wrap around it. The saran wrap is used to prevent mess and to keep all of your hair close to your head. The warmth from your body will help with the deep condition so the closer the hair is to your head, the warmer it will be.

  5. Step 5

Once your hair is secured with the saran wrap, take the warm towel out of the dryer. Wrap the towel around the back of your head and twist it in the front. You probably already use a towel this way on wet hair after you get out of the shower. This is just to provide additional warmth during the deep conditioning.

  6. Step 6

Leave the hair cholesterol in for at least 1/2 half.

  7. Step 7

Remove the towel and the saran wrap and rinse well until all of the product is removed from your hair. Once your hair dries it should be soft and silky. Repeat the process monthly or as necessary.
