There are many quick homemade acne treatments that can be made using simple ingredients that can usually be found in your kitchen. These recipes are very simple to make and use. In addition, they are very effective in combating those dreaded pimples!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cucumbers
  • Honey
  • Yogurt
  • Eggs
  • Lemon or Orange Juice
  • Towels
  • Hot Water
  • Brown Sugar
  • Carrots
  • Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil
  • Lavender Essential Oil
  • Rosemary Essential Oil
  1. Step 1

The first concoction we will discuss is a natural toner that can be used on a daily basis. It is very refreshing especially on those hot summer days. A toner is essential as a quick homemade acne treatment as it cuts down the excessive amount of oil on the surface of the skin. Take 1 cucumber and puree it in a blender. Once it has been pureed, take the cucumber and strain it through a cloth placed over a metal strainer in a cup. This allows you to retain all the natural juice from the cucumber. Let this sit for approximately 20 minutes. Once you have retained the juices, add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the mixture. Place this mixture in a bottle and use the mixture twice daily. Keep the unused portion in the refrigerator. 2. Step 2

A very easy facial scrub can be made that is a quick homemade acne treatment. It is gentle on the skin and can be used by most skin types. Take 1 cup of brown sugar and place it in a bowl. Add 1/4 cup of jojoba oil or virgin olive oil if you cannot find jojoba. You can also add 5 drops of lavender and rosemary essential oil to the mixture. Mix all of the ingredients together. Use this as a facial scrub up to once daily after cleansing and toning. This mixture does not have to be refrigerated but should not be kept longer than 2 weeks.

  3. Step 3

Here is how to make an excellent facial mask that is all natural. It will pull out the impurities of the skin and help get rid of pimples and blackheads a lot quicker than normal. It is very easy to make and use. In addition, it works as well if not better than the expensive salon or spa masks and is all natural. This is an excellent quick homemade acne treatment! Take a carrot and grate it or puree it. Separate 2 eggs and whip the egg whites until they are frothy. Add the carrot puree to the egg whites and mix it thoroughly. Then add 1 teaspoon of honey and lemon juice to the mixture. Apply to the face and allow to set for 15 minutes then remove with warm water. Discard of any unused portions.
It is recommended to use a facial mask once to twice weekly.

Tips & Warnings
  • To get optimum results for acne prone skin, always wash your face and use toner twice daily to keep down oil production.
  • Avoid foods that are high in acid or greasy. These tend to lead to more oil production by the skin.
  • Invest in a good vitamin regimen that promotes skin health.
  • Keep unused portions of any natural mixtures in the refrigerator as they do not contain preservatives. Bacteria can grow if they are not kept cold.
