Step 1
Wash and exfoliate your skin before waxing. Make sure that the area is free of cuts and sores, and apply baby powder to the area before waxing.
-
Step 2
Apply tea tree oil and aloe vera immediately after waxing. Do not use any products that contain a fragrance. Apply aloe vera on the skin every morning and night for three days to heal your skin and prevent breakouts.
-
Step 3
Three days after waxing, exfoliate your skin. Exfoliate at least twice a week between waxing treatments to prevent ingrown hairs from developing and dirt from accumulating in your pores.
-
Step 4
Apply ice to close your pores and reduce inflammation after waxing. Wash the area with an astringent such as witch hazel, then immediately apply the ice. This is especially helpful after facial waxing.
-
Step 5
Use a hydrocortisone cream after closing your pores with ice. The cream is especially effective on facial areas that tend to breakout in little red spots after waxing.
