Things You'll Need

  • 6 large chicken breasts
  • 6 slices fat-free ham
  • 6 slices light Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup bread or cracker crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Kitchen mallet
  • Toothpicks
  • Three shallow bowls

Instructions

      Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

      Pound the chicken breasts with the mallet until they are flat and will roll easily. They should be about 1/8 inch thick.

      Put a layer of ham and a layer of cheese on each chicken breast.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can substitute low-fat Gruyere or Mozzarella cheese for the Swiss cheese. Prosciutto can be substituted for the ham.
