You can spend hours staring at all the hair products costing from $3 to $30. Many of these products carry harsh chemicals which strip your hair of its natural beauty. You never think to use natural, in your kitchen products. They are cheaper and nontoxic. Here are some steps to having healthy shiny hair with natural products for less.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

No Poo! The first way to having amazing hair for less is to follow the no poo movement. Just stop washing your hair and after 30 days your hair will naturally clean its self. You have a natural product in your scalp, the oil. The first modern shampoo was invented in the 30s! Cost= Free

  2. Step 2

Baking Soda and Apple Cider Vinegar! If you do not want to take that type of drastic route then go the baking soda and apple cider vinegar route. Take one tablespoon size of baking soda and use it at your roots. Make sure you get the whole scalp but focus on the back of your head, temples, and your part. You want to gently rotate your fingers in small circles in the areas. Then mix about 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and one cup of water. I use my old bottles of conditioner to fill with the mixture. Pour on ends of hair and let this solution sit on your hair for a couple of minutes. Rinse out! These are natural products that are used for many things. Cost= Baking Soda Box $2.00 AVC 32oz $6.00

  3. Step 3

Add the Mayo! If you still shampoo and conditioner with store bought stuff but want to use something to make it shiny use REAL Mayonnaise! Put some in your dry or damp hair and work in like conditioner. Keep it in your hair for an hour or so. You might want to use a towel or shower cap so it doesn't get all over. Wash it out with shampoo and shiny hair! Cost= $3.50

  4. Step 4

Eggs and Oil! These are natural products you can eat. Next beat two eggs together and mix in 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Put in your dry hair all over like leave in conditioner. Leave on about 30- 45 minutes. Then shampoo! Cost = Eggs Dozen $3.00 Olive Oil 17oz $14.00

  5. Step 5

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil! Yum! A natural product that has many uses. Heat up about 3-5 tablespoons of the coconut oil. Comb in from root to tip. Leave in your hair for about an hour, if you can leave in over night. Wear a towel so that it will not get all over. Wash out with shampoo! Cost=$13.00

Tips & Warnings
  • One of these might not work for you but continue to try another one.
  • Make sure you wash out all the mayonnaise, coconut oil, eggs and oil, and apple vinegar oil.
  • Watch out for allergic reactions. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.
