Things You'll Need:

Step 1
Choose a company! I have referenced a couple great companies below. This can be a grueling process if it's not done properly. First and foremost you want to make sure what quality playing cards the company offers. Most companies will provide free samples, so I suggest getting a few samples from different companies to compare the quality.
-
Step 2
Once you have found the perfect company for you, you will need to decide what you are putting on the playing cards. Now there are several different options available. You can just do the back of the cards in 1 - full color process or you can customize the faces with 54 different images or text.
-
Step 3
If you do not have the ability to create the design you will need to contact your custom playing card company and find out how much they charge for design services. All custom playing card companies will have this service available for you. (If they are worth ordering from anyway)
If you are creating the designs yourself the best program to use will be Adobe Illustrator saved as an EPS. Most companies will also take a PDF or a high res JPEG. -
Step 4
Next you will need to choose your packaging option. There are several available from white tuck boxes with a viewing window (standard) To wooden boxes, leather boxes, plastic snap cases etc. The options will depend on the company you choose also.
-
Step 5
You will then submit your design to the playing card company where they will e-mail you a proof for you to approve. They do this to make sure there are no spelling errors and all the graphics/text are in the correct place. Once you approve the art and send in payment they will then place the order for you. Typical turn around time for custom playing cards is 10 - 14 working days.
