Things You'll Need:
- card stock or construction paper
- photos, magazines, and/or other craft supplies that can be used to create a card
-
Step 1
Take a moment to think about the age of the child or teen making the birthday card for dad. Try to get some age appropriate ideas based on this information.
-
Step 2
Gather the appropriate supplies for the birthday card. If the card is being made by a young child, for example, some construction card and crayons may be all you need!
-
Step 3
Consider making a photo birthday card for dad. A picture of the child or children with dad would be one photo to consider. If that is not available, think about taking a photograph with the child or children with a handmade poster saying "Happy Birthday Dad!".
-
Step 4
If you have a teenager, one wonderful idea would be to have them write their thoughts in the birthday card for dad. A handwritten card that says "I love you dad! Happy Birthday!" means so much more than a store-bought card with a simple signature.
-
Step 5
Be creative and have fun! Using pictures from magazines, colored scraps of paper from around the house, and other art supplies can help with a one-of-a-kind birthday card that dad will enjoy for many years.
