Users of Internet Explorer versions 4.0 through 6.0 also benefit from Outlook Express, the free email application installed with these browser versions. Outlook Express is a web-based email and newsgroup reader program with features similar to Microsoft Outlook. Outlook Express offers familiar Microsoft toolbars and user-friendly characteristics, but if you are upgrading to a new version of Windows that does not offer OE or have opted to move up to MS Outlook, you will want to convert your Outlook Express folders and contacts.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Close Outlook Express and open Microsoft Outlook. Go to the "File" menu and select "Import and Export" to open the "Import and Export Wizard."
