Make crystal bouquets for wedding showers, bridesmaid gifts or to use as your own bouquet for your wedding day. Crystal bouquets are simple to create and will last a lifetime. Follow these instructions to create a 12-inch bouquet of 16 crystal stems.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Cut 16 sections of 24-inch 24-gauge craft wire.

  2. Step 2

Thread one crystal bead halfway onto one 24-inch strand of wire. Swarovski crystal beads provide high sparkle. You can use center-hole or top-hole crystal beads.

  3. Step 3

Bend the wire with your needle or round-nose pliers so that the crystal bead is at the tip. Hold the wire immediately beside the bead with your pliers, and then twist the pliers to make a bend. Smooth the two halves of the wire together, making sure they are even at the end.

  4. Step 4

Hold the crystal bead with one hand and twist the two wire halves together all the way to the tip so that your crystal is at the end of a twisted strand.

  5. Step 5

Repeat Steps 2, 3 and 4 to make the remaining 15 crystal strands for your bouquet. Sixteen strands makes a full bouquet for any occasion, but you can easily make a smaller bouquet with fewer strands.

  6. Step 6

Cut two 30-inch sections of 24-gauge wire. Bend each wire in the middle and double it so each wire has two 15-inch sections. Twist the wires from one end to the other so that they look like the stems on your crystal bouquet.

  7. Step 7

Gather your crystal stems together like a bunch of flowers and measure 2 inches and 4 inches from the bottom. Wrap one of the 15-inch sections of twisted wire around all of the stems on the 2-inch mark and one on the 4-inch mark. This will hold the crystal bouquet together.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add sparkle to a floral bouquet with six or eight crystal stems.
  • Do not leave wire cutters accessible to children.
