Things You'll Need:
- spray mist bottle
- white vinegar
-
Step 1
Grab a spray mist bottle and take off the nozzle top. Any spray mist bottle will do. You can even clean out an empty cleanser bottle that has a spray nozzle head to use, which is good for the environment as well as your wallet.
-
Step 2
Pour white vinegar into a spray mist bottle. You can buy white vinegar at the grocery store; it’s usually in the condiments aisle near the salad dressings.
-
Step 3
Screw the nozzle head back on and you’re ready to go battle the mosquitoes. Spray the vinegar generously wherever you plan on being outside. Be careful not to get the vinegar in your eyes or any open wounds on your body; it’ll sting (watch out for any gusts of wind!).

on 6/7/2009 I've never tried this. I am sure we would smell bad to ourselves and the bugs - but its worth it to go on a hike or camping trip in peace.

on 6/6/2009 Bugs hate white vinegar. I use it to get rid of ants and spiders. Mix it with water and it makes good natural household cleaner. I've never thought about using it for mosquitoes though. I'll have to try that.
