How to groom a Great Dane

A Great Dane's coat should be clean, fresh smelling with the coat laying flat against the body with no shedding hair.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • nail trimmer
  • ear cleaning solution
  • cotton balls
  • clippers
  • #15
  • small detailing shears
  • deshedding shampoo
  • deshedding conditioner
  • rubber curry
  1. Step 1

    First cut your dane's nails. If you get the quick put styptic powder. Take one cotton ball and wet it with ear cleaning solution. take this and clean one ear. follow same steps and clean the other ear. Make sure to clean it good so it smells good and remove dirt. trim pads with #15 blade if necessary

  2. Step 2

    Wash your dog with deshedding shampoo and conditioner so less hair in your house. Once your dog is super clean dry him with a towel then dry him with a dryer if you dont have a force dryer dry the dog with a hair dryer.

  3. Step 3

    Once dry massage the coat with a rubber curry to remove loose fur. clip inside of ear with #15 blade. edge ears with small shears. keep the tip of the shears towards the tip of the ear
