How to Make a Frozen Margarita

Love frozen margaritas at restaurants, but hate the price? It is easy to make a frozen margarita at home with just a few ingredients and a blender. Impress your friends at your next party with this tasty recipe. Add some chips and salsa and have a south of the boarder fiesta.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Blender
• 6 ounce can frozen limeade
• 6 ounces tequila
• 3 ounces triple sec
• Lime wedges
• Course salt
• 8 cups ice
• Margarita glasses

1. Blend frozen limeade, tequila and triple sec in blender until well mixed.

2. Slowly add ice cubes to blender until mixture becomes slushy. If mixture becomes too thick add a small amount of water and blend until it is the right consistency.

3. To rim glass with salt, pour course salt on small plate. Rim chilled margarita glass with lime wedge and then dip into salt. Shake off any excess salt.

4. Pour margarita mixture into glass and enjoy. Garnish with lime slice if desired. This recipe is best used immediately, but you can freeze any leftover margarita mixture for later in the evening.

Tips & Warnings

• Substitute strawberry liqueur for triple sec to make a frozen strawberry margarita.
• To make margarita on the rocks, let limeade thaw to room temperature and skip the ice.
• This recipe contains a fair amount of alcohol, so be careful.
• Never drink and drive.
