How to have a girls weekend in Vegas

Getting away for a weekend with the girls in Las Vegas sounds fabulous! It's easy to be overwhelmed just by the sheer amount of things to see and do though. While hitting the strip and the clubs can make for a fun weekend in itself, here are a few things that you shouldn't miss to make your girls weekend in Las Vegas memorable.

1. Pick up some tickets to one of the all male revues for a wild girl's night! Two great ones are the Thunder from Down Under at the Excalibur hotel and casino and the Chippendales at the Rio hotel and casino. Spend a night hooting and hollering at some gorgeous guys, and you even have the option of getting a picture taken with one of them afterwards. These shows are always a good time.

2. Check out the beauty bar in downtown Las Vegas on Fremont st (the old strip). This bar is made up to look like an old school beauty salon. Plan to go there on a Friday for martinis and manicures! That's right, the beauty bar has a manicurist on staff every Friday night. (excluding the first Friday of each month)

3. Don't miss out on all the great shopping in Las Vegas. A few that you should check out are:
   
   The fashion Show Mall - You can't miss this place, it looks like a UFO landed on the building. Prices are pretty high here but it's worth some window shopping at the very least.
   
   The forum shoppes at Ceasar's Palace - My personal favorite, this mall has a great mix of both high end and typical mall stores, and a slightly goofy animatronic reenactment of the fall of Atlantis outside of the Cheesecake factory (mmmm, cheesecake...).
   
   The grand canal shoppes at the Venetian - Absolutely beautiful, where else can you go for a gondola ride after some serious shopping?
   
   The Miracle Mile at Planet Hollywood - a full mile of mall, mostly typical mall stores.

4. There are so many good restaurants in Las Vegas that I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding great food. I do recommend the Firefly for a girl's weekend though. It's a tapas restaurant with great atmosphere. Basically, you order lots of little appetizers to share. Try the bacon wrapped dates, they're divine!

5. After your busy weekend, take a trip to the spa before you head home. Every major casino hotel has their own spa, so using the one in your casino is the most convenient. When you're booking a room for the weekend, make sure you check out the spa of the hotel you're looking to stay at.
