Now you can clean your baby without bath water!

In many areas around the world, drinking water is scarce and valuable. Car enthusiasts have to resort, oftentimes, to sneaking their cars around to give them a clean, wax shine. To clean the car without cleaning the tires would be unthinkable. Too often, unfortunately, cleaning tires included using products that required rinsing before and/or after treatment until now.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dirty tires
  • Auto Guard Cleaner/Degreaser
  • Auto Guard Tire Dressing
  • Auto Guard Leather-Vinyl and Rubber Dressing
  • Auto Guard Waterless Car Cleaner
  • Terry cloth towel
  • Micro-fiber towel and applicator
  • Reach Soft bristle toothbrush
  1. Step 1
Tires dirtied by brake dust, road grime and greasy deposits on roadways

This step can either precede or follow cleaning your automobile, truck, bike, airplane, etc. When cleaning with Auto Guard products, you don't have to use any drinking water, or any water for that matter. The cleaner degreaser is sprayed on and wiped off immediately using a terry cloth towel. Some wheel covers require a little extra attention using a toothbrush to get into crevices. Spray the brush before using it on those stubborn, hard to reach areas. Remember to wipe off immediately. If there is a film left behind after wiping off, which usually happens on hot tires, simply spray area again and wipe off. No harm, no foul.

Auto Guard Cleaner Degreaser is solvent-free, so you don't have to worry about using special gloves. Gloves would be helpful though as you will get your fingernails and cuticles dirty. Use the degreaser on your hands afterwards to scrub off the dirt.

The first step is then followed up with the Auto Guard Tire Dressing or Rubber Cleaner on the rubber of the side walls. Simply spray on and wipe off. No harmful oils are in Auto Guard which can dry out your tires and limit their life on your car. Oils are in other products to make your tires shine, but it is this author's opinion that you don't use them. The same is true regardless of the type vehicle you are in.

  3. Step 3
Use Auto Guard Waterless Car Cleaner on the wheel covers for optimal shine.

After cleaning your tire and hub cover, follow up with Auto Guard Waterless Car Cleaner. Use your micro fiber applicator and towel for this step as these are safest on chrome and polished aluminum finishes. Again, use the wipe on and wipe off procedure to make your wheel covers really shine. This cleaner also adds a Carnauba wax shine which helps to repel dust, dirt, bugs and water drops to anything you use it on.

  4. Step 4
    Water

If you have time, use the Car Cleaner on your car's body and glass too. Then you will have people looking twice and asking how you could have done this all without using a drop of drinking water. This is your contribution to "going green" without wasting America's most precious resource.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use your Auto Guard products on a dry vehicle.
  • Take before and after pictures to prove to your critics and skeptics.
  • Prepare to explain how you did it to your neighbors
  • Never use the terry cloth towel used to wipe your tires on your car's finish.
  • Don't wet your tires before treatment.
