Many people feel lost when it comes time for the first steps in getting a passport. The first step is finding a store that can take a certified passport photo. This will help you do just that.

1. The first step in our process is to figure out what is around you for shops. The easy way is to open a phone book and look up travel or go online and type in AAA.com

2. Next the most common place to find a photo store is to look for AAA ravel store. Most major cities have them to help make it more convenient for people. You DO NOT need to be a AAA member to use their passport photo store.

3. If you do not have a AAA store near you, then look for the nearest post office in the phone book or online and call them first. You have about a 50% chance of this working although I find passport photos at the post office don't always show your good side like a private shop taking them.

4. Lastly,if both those don't work check in with your local drugstore. Many times they have a camera to take a passport photo for you.
